Sandra White: Port Townsend Peace Sign Blooms

Port Townsend Peace Sign Blooms

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we like to say it with flowers.  Here is our very own peace sign blooming in yellow and white flowers.

There is also a group in Port Townsend called the "Peace Movement"  I don't know what they do as I am not a memeber but the thought is good and here is their photo in the field with peace sign:

Sandra - I like Peace Signs, however, I am a proponent of Peace Through Strength

Hi Sandra, I'm just around the corner from you. I do believe it takes less time to drive to Port Townsend than it does to Port Angeles. Very cool photo--were you standing on the roof of something to get that shot?

Sandra, thank you for posting that and reminding us that peace is the ultimate goal of this country.  Unfortunately many here in this group would prefer to "nuke em", whomever "em" is.  Beautiful pics!

Mike,

I totally agree with you, and am weary of left / right politics, so was trying to see the positive side in this hillside display.  Al Quida is not sitting around planting flowers.  As I mentioned, I do not belong to this group.

Sherry,

No, just pulled my car over to the corner and snapped the photo of the hillside.  I live about a block from it, and drive by it every day.

Terry, I don't believe our country has nuked any one lately and that was never our goal.  We could have gotten out of Iraq a lot sooner if we had.    Thanks for your comment.

Sandra - I still have my zippo with a peace sign (somewhere) that I picked up in Nam.
