Sandra White: Tea Party in Port Townsend Today!

Tea Party in Port Townsend Today!

image of tea potThis tea pot is mad as hell! Tea Party to be held at the Chimacum Grange this afternoon.   See you there.  Bring your signs.

The Department of Ecology is trying to limit growth and therefore a private citizen's right to use his property by tripleing the current setbacks from waterfront, creekfront, or wetlands.  This could render a 5 acre parcel unusable.  They also want to limit the water we use by a morotorium on wells, image of set back map

Joyce - Sorry I missed this one, I only just now found out by reading your post.  Keep up the good work!

Sandra - keep us posted on the results of your efforts. Yet another knee jerk reaction to some problem, real or perceived. What is the alledged purpose on the moratorium on wells?

Mike, this state does not want more people. The alledged purpose has something to do with the salmon.  It also gives the state control as they will put a monitor on the wells and charge if you take too much water.  The same reason you are not allowed to catch water in a barrell and use it on your lawn.  They want control.  Good to hear from you.

Sandra - that really sucks. I didn't realize they had banned rain barrels. It sounds like the inmates are running the asylum.
