Sandra White: Port Townsend's Old Customs House

Port Townsend's Old Customs House

Port Townsend's one time Customs House is on the waterfront on Water Street, and is now home to The Lighouse Cafe, which serves breakfast and lunch.  I have never eaten there, so no comment on the food, but it is a very interesting building which is in great shape for it's age.  Image of Port Townsend's Old Customs House

Hi, Sandra. There's an old Customs House in Wiscasset, Maine, right on the water. It's brick and has lovely TALL windows that let in so much light. There was a gift shop there in the mid-80's with such interesting items from all over the world....in keeping with the theme. I always enjoyed stopping in when I lived up the road in Damariscotta....I hope it's still there.
